Message from Mayor George D. Doscher

Bellevue has been my home for over 50 years. I was born and raised here, and now I am teaching my own children to appreciate the many amenities of this lovely borough.

I was elected as mayor in 2005, to serve the citizens of Bellevue.  I have done my best to be open, honest, available and receptive to ideas and change, that would move our borough forward.  Many, many talented people live and work here and it is these people whom I have watched contribute to growing this community to the great, livable town that it is.

Live, Worship and Shop has been recognized as  Bellevue’s motto, and it is with these 3 small words that set the precedence for what, I believe, Bellevue is and will always be. This does not come easy.  Our police, fire department, borough employees, store owners and council members, work very hard to help achieve the notoriety that Bellevue has gained.

In closing, I would like to thank the Bellevue community for giving me the opportunity to serve them as mayor, and be part of helping to grow the borough to what we believe is the “best kept secret near Pittsburgh”.  No one person makes this a successful town, but working together, we can all be proud of  Bellevue and what still lies  ahead for our community.

If I can ever be of any service to you, please contact me at 412-874-3160 or through the borough e-mail at Doscher@bellevueboro.com and I would be happy to meet with you and discuss any concerns that you may have.

Sincerely,
Mayor George D. Doscher
