ROAD PROJECTS

The Borough Department of Public Works is managed by Tony Barbarino. Under his supervision the Crew repair roads, collect leaves, mow all open space, rights-of-way through the Borough.  In addition, they plow snow, install signs, maintain parks and pave roads.  The Public Works Crew also responds to emergencies such as downed trees and clogged storm sewers.

This year the Borough will be working on Woodlawn Avenue, Citizen Way and 35th Avenue. These projects will begin the middle to end of September.

LEAF COLLECTION

The Department of Public Works collects the leaves in the Borough from about mid October to Thanksgiving.  Please remember you must rake the leaves to the street line and may not include branches or other debris.  Keep in mind that debris such as concrete, bricks, steel etc. can cause substantial damage to the equipment and also poses a potentially dangerous situation for the crew.
