BELLEVUE BOROUGH
POLICE DEPARTMENT
Welcome to the home site of the Bellevue Borough Police Department. The department consists of a total of 14 officers. Our department goal is to provide a total package of services to the community.
During the past year we have made changes to our method of law enforcement. Some of the major changes include the participation in the District Attorneys Narcotics Task Force (DANET) and the West Hills DUI Task Force. In addition to the task force work, officers have worked hard to increase enforcement of illegal drug sales and traffic enforcement.
Our efforts as law enforcement officers provides one part of the solution to a safe community. The citizens, business owners and visitors of our community play a strong role in keeping the community safe. The Bellevue community should take pride in its efforts to help the police, we receive very good information from the community and without it our jobs would be much more difficult.
In 2010 the plan for the police department is to have periodic community meetings to discuss strategies and address particular problems in various parts of the Borough. This could include the institution of a formal Neighborhood Crime Watch Program. Please watch the events for advertised meetings.
Thank you,
Matthew R. Sentner, Chief of Police
