Douglas Sample, Director of Administrative Services
Mr. Sample is responsible for managing all administrative operations for the Borough of Bellevue. Mr. Sample has a number of staff members who handle specific functions for the Borough and they are listed in the contacts link to the right. You may CLICK HERE to contact Mr. Sample by email.
Mr. Sample came to Bellevue in July of 2010. He previously worked at the Boroughs of Crafton and Upper St. Clair. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in History and Political Science. He also earned his Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Pittsburgh at the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. Mr. Sample is a lifelong resident of the North Hills and lives with his wife, daughter, and dog Jackson.

Matt Sentner, Chief of Police
Chief Sentner is responsible for the daily operations of the Police Department, overseeing the annual department budget, management of department supervisors, and all administrative tasks of the police department.
Chief Sentner has been on the Bellevue Police Force since 1996. He worked as a Patrolman until 2004 when he was promoted as Sergeant. He was appointed Chief of Police in 2008. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Duquesne University in 1995 and a Master's Degree in Organizational Managment from the University of Phoenix in 2004. Chief Sentner lives in Bellevue with his wife and three daughters.
Anthony Barbarino, Public Works Supervisor
Mr. Barbarino manages the daily operations of the Department of Public Works Department. He oversees a staff of full-time employees as well as a seasonal summer staff. Denise Plaskon, Library Manager
Mrs. Plaskon manages the daily operation of the library. She oversees a staff of full and part-time employees, develops the library's catalog, plans activities for patrons, and maintains a separate library budget. She is interested in all aspects of librarianship, especially teen programming. She can be reached at (412)-766-7447.
Mrs. Plaskon recently relocated to the Pittsburgh area from New Bedford, Massachusetts. She recieved her Master's of Library and Information Science at the University of Pittsburgh in 2006. She lives with her husband, dog, cat, and bird and has two daughers in college.
